Envy Steakhouse did not let me down. Although I didn’t do much networking today, I did plenty of eating. I didn’t hesitate to sample their tray passed hors d’oeuvres of mini crab cakes and beef carpaccio. A beautiful green salad with walnuts, tomato, and bleu cheese served as an appetizer which everyone loved. The entree was Filet Mignon cooked to the perfect temperature served along side shrimp skewers. Side dishes served family style were mashed potatoes (to die for!), Bourbon creamed corn (liquor in food always makes me happy), and asparagus with Hollandaise sauce. Dessert was a lemon something which I didn’t pay much attention to. See, I don’t have a sweet tooth!
All in all, it was a delicious lunch. Next month, I will do more networking and less eating.
At one point in my life, I wanted to attend culinary school. Can you tell I’m a huge foodie?
Next month’s meeting is at Gordon Biersch. I’ll save room for some beer.
