Okay, so maybe the title is a bit deceiving. I had big plans to document our entire journey to California and even before and after photos of our entire set up of the wedding. But, I never manage to find the time to capture those moments when I’m in the midst of setting up and coordinating a wedding. This was my first destination wedding so it was a unique experience for me. Angelica coordinate two destination weddings last year but I wasn’t ready to leave my little baby girl for two whole days yet. I was finally ready this year!
It was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day. The weather could not have been more perfect. When Angelica and I arrived to the historic La Venta Inn, we were just blown away by the view of both the ocean and the city. And even though Angelica and I both grew up in California (Angelica in Southern California and myself in San Francisco), we don’t see that here in Las Vegas.
Shanna loves the vintage style and this wedding was a true reflection of that. Gary, on the other hand, is more into the modern style so they wanted to blend a little modern with the vintage style. Shanna and Gary were both part of Greek life at UNLV so many of their invited guests were also from their fraternities and sororities. Their grand entrance song was the UNLV Fight Song so as a fellow UNLV Rebel, that was a fun and proud moment for me too.
Anyway, here are some photos I captured. Hope you enjoy!
We stayed at the Beach House Hotel in Hermosa Beach and loved our room!
I managed to take one photo of the florist hanging the mason jars! That’s Taka from Be Buds Florist.
We couldn’t get enough of the ocean view.
A preview of Shanna and Gary’s wedding.
More to come from the photographer Youkeun Oh Photography! We actually worked with Youkeun a few years ago in Las Vegas for Eunie and Phillip’s wedding at the Historic Fifth Street School. We enjoyed working with him so we referred him to Shanna and Gary!
Congratulations Shanna and Gary! I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon!
