Welcome to the Green Orchid Events blog!
Meet Juliet
Juliet is the owner and lead wedding consultant of Green Orchid Events. Having been a singer and musician for most of her life, she enjoys good live music in all genres from classical to hard rock. Her other loves include rich molten chocolate cakes, chocolate hazelnut gelato, trying new restaurants, hot tea, and spending time with family and friends.
Juliet has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a concentration in Special Events and Entertainment. She has also graduated and obtained a Wedding Coordination and Design Certificate from the International School of Hospitality. Juliet has worked in various positions in some of the finest establishments in Las Vegas in the hospitality and food and beverage industries.
Juliet Douglas can be reached at juliet {@}greenorchidevents.com.
Meet Angelica
A 2007 graduate of the Wedding Coordination & Design program at the International School of Hospitality, Angelica joined Green Orchid Events in the summer of 2008 as a wedding day coordinator and party planner.
Angelica is mildly obsessed with Hello Kitty and loves the fall season. She loves Z Gallerie and Pier One Imports and visits these stores frequently for inspiration on colors and decor. She enjoys reading books by her favorite authors Nicholas Sparks and Emily Griffin. If she had her choice, she'd probably eat Mexican food every night. Her Starbucks drink of choice is a Caramel Macchiato.
To top it all off, Angelica’s love for children will show as she has the patience to handle your crying 4 year old flower girl with grace.
Angelica may be contacted at angelica{@}greenorchidevents.com.
Meet Beth
Beth is a recent UNLV graduate with a degree in Hospitality Management. She has been a member of the Green Orchid Events team since early 2010.
Beth is ridiculously organized. She loves bulldog puppies, dinner parties, chocolate from See’s Candies, any excuse to go to Michaels’ craft store, hydrangeas and iced coffee. Her favorite moment at weddings is bustling the bride’s dress after the ceremony because it is normally an intimate moment for the bride to reflect on and embrace the fact that she is now married.
Beth can be reached at beth {@}greenorchidevents.com.

![]() Typically, the words “Surprise” and “Wedding” do not go together, but this wedding was anything but typical. I received a phone call from a groom explaining how he wanted to surprise his fiance with a wedding. They had planned to have a small wedding consisting of just the bride and groom and their 3 best...

They may have been one of the most in-love couples I’ve ever photographed. The whole time we were shooting “engagements” in the Hard Rock Hotel the bride (Yanni) kept joking “why don’t we just get married today?!” Thoughts are powerful things, right?! Thank you Angelica and Juliet for the opportunity to be a part of one of the most daring and interesting and dramatic weddings I’ve ever shot. chris Fogarty - June 27, 2011 - 5:38 pm

They are an extremely quirky and intelligent couple who are complete opposites yet perfect for each other. Really beautiful wedding, and her bouquet is super fun! Love it!! ![]() Jane and Gene were married on a beautiful April day at Loews Lake Las Vegas. It was an intimate wedding for about 23 guests.
