Engagement Season Is Here

Engagement season is upon us and so many lucky couples will be engaged this holiday season! My husband proposed while we were on vacation in Anaheim to visit Disneyland.  He’s quite the writer and wrote a heartfelt and beautiful poem to me and incorporated the proposal in the poem. Here’s another story I love that...

Hi Juliet!
My husband proposed to me in New York City at Tiffany & Co. while we were on vacation with my family. Tiffany & Co. has a strict rule against proposals at their store, but he did it anyway. Ha, kinda cute, kinda cheesy but very memorable!!

My husband proposed to me on my birthday in front of all our friends and family. Before we were even dating he remembers me telling him that “Whoever proposes to me, I want my friends and family to be there.” We were all at Cheescake Factory and when he got down on one knee the whole restaurant just stopped. The guests were watching, waiters and waitresses were watching, and all of my friends who could not be there were on speaker phone! I was so overwhelmed with excitement….I don’t remember saying yes!!

Hiring Your Wedding Photographer

As a wedding planner, my job is to narrow down the LONG list of professional photographers for my brides and grooms based on their style, budget, AND personalities.  However, once the list is narrowed down, it is their job to meet with the few photographers either in person or over the phone. I’ve already recommended...

I wish we would have taken this advice before our wedding. Sure the photographer did a good job of capturing the right moments, but had he have been interested, I’m sure we would have had even more interesting shots!

Good advice. A photographer’s personality is important especially because the bride will spend a lot of her wedding day in the company of the photographer. It helps if the photographer can stay calm when everyone else is a little scattered.

Candace Simpson from Elegant Images has a new website!

I am in love with their new website! Check it out here. Candace is a wonderful photographer with the sweetest personality. Her new website really showcases her work well. It is the most unique concept I’ve seen in a long time: Antique looking chandeliers in bronze with old fashioned picture frames, a postcard with a...

1940s Bridal Photo Shoot

A few months ago, I was on the phone with Candace Simpson from Elegant Images discussing my sister’s wedding and we got around to talking about our experiences at our own weddings. There were a few crucial shots that were missed at my own wedding and her experience was not too great either. Somehow she...
