Jamila and Michael: A Yellow And Grey Wedding At Loews Lake Las Vegas

Jamila and Michael were married in October 2011 at the beautiful Loews Hotel in Lake Las Vegas. After spending some time with the bride and groom, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding! Their colors popped against the blue sky and they had a great view of the lake from their ceremony and reception at Lotus Court. Their guests dined on a delicious Lobster Bake and did the Wobble and Dougie under the stars! Thank you to Stesha with The Black Chicken for sharing these photos with us!

Katie and John’s Spring Wedding At Springs Preserve

John and Katie were married in April at Springs Preserve. Their lovely ceremony was held in the Origen with their cake and champagne cocktail hour taking place nearby. Afterwards, guests headed over to Smith and Wollensky where they dined inside the Wine Room. The room was filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of delicious food. Congratulations again John and Katie!

LaVey & Tyson’s Airplane Hangar Wedding

We had the pleasure and honor of planning LaVey and Tyson’s wedding at an airplane hangar in September. This was one of the most amazing wedding experiences in my career so far. Check out their video. Oh, and the intro is a reference to their Pulp Fiction first dance.

World Market Center Wedding: Grace and Nathan

Grace and Nathan. They are an extremely quirky and intelligent couple who are complete opposites yet perfect for each other. Prior to booking with me, they had sent an entire document with a chart listing out everything I should know about them including facts like Grace being 1st generation Chinese and Nathan being of Japanese descent with roots in Hawaii. I walked away from our consultation feeling like I already knew them very well.

They booked the World Market Center for both their ceremony and reception. Location in downtown Las Vegas, World Market Center is mainly used as a showcase for the furnishings industry. Years ago, I had worked the Las Vegas Market as a convention model so it was exciting to be back there coordinating a wedding.

The ceremony was originally scheduled to take place out on the terrace. But we had to move the wedding inside due to extremely cold weather. In fact, I believe it snowed no more than an hour before I arrived for set up. The reception took place on the top floor at Worldview on Sixteen with a spectacular view of the city. Guests feasted on a tapas menu by Renaissance Catering. Entertainment was provided by Sight and Sound Events and also included karaoke in the adjacent room!

Chinese and Japanese traditions were both incorporated: Chinese firecrackers were used to ward off the evil spirits

A very Asian inspired ceremony site included paper lanterns, paper cranes, and parasols. This was a last minute design by Enchanted Florist since we had to move the ceremony location from the terrace to this first floor indoor location.

Their favors were jars of honey.

They wanted Winnie the Pooh guarding the honey and I just happened to have a big talking Winnie the Pooh so I brought that along for them to borrow.

I loved Grace’s bouquet that included Billy Balls and paper cranes.

Grace’s father gave one of the most heartfelt speeches I’ve ever heard.

A Whimsical Wedding at Loews Lake Las Vegas

Jane and Gene were married on a beautiful April day at Loews Lake Las Vegas. It was an intimate wedding for about 23 guests. Guests entered the ceremony area to a live harpist and a refreshing pre ceremony cocktail. Rabbi Mel Hecht officiated their Jewish ceremony under a beautiful chuppah designed by Flora Couture. The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Andalusian Garden and then moved up to Lotus Court for the reception. Instead of the traditional wedding cake, they opted for whimsical cupcakes with butterflies and edible diamonds from Gimme Some Sugar. After dinner, guests danced the night away with music from singer Brian Starr .

There was a lot of bling at this wedding!

An emotional First Look. I LOVE when couples decide on this.

I just loved her beautiful pink bouquet with feathers against her elegant wedding dress.

After the ceremony, Jane switched out her white crystal sash for a black floral beaded lace sash.

They wanted whimsical cupcakes with butterflies and edible diamonds on top. So pretty and delicious!

Gene got in the fountain for a photo. They were up for anything!

Maria and Rob’s Wedding at Foundation Room and DragonRidge

On March 19th, 2011 Maria and Rob became Mr. and Mrs. at the lovely Foundation Room inside the Mandalay Bay. The bride looked stunning as her wedding day look was inspired by the famous Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Their wedding was a unique combination of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with a Chinese flair. Their cake table was adorned with Bride and Groom skeletons and their Grand Entrance was very grand as they danced into their reception with a parade of Lion Dancers. Congratulations Maria and Rob!

Katie and Ryan’s Modern Vintage Wedding

Katie and Ryan were so much fun to work with! They are my only couple to date to book both their ceremony and reception venue without seeing it before hand. They trusted my judgement and had a beautiful ceremony at Springs Preserve inside the Origen and a delicious dinner reception at Joe’s Stone Crab. These Air Force loves were surrounded by their closest friends and family and their bridal party had us laughing all night long.

Bride’s Bouquet consisting of Calla Lilies, Orange Dahlia, White Stock, bleached Peacocks Feathers, and Orange Ranunculus with a vintage broach from her family.

Engagement Session: Grace and Nathan

Grace and Nathan recently made a trip to Taiwan and had these gorgeous engagement photos taken. It’s customary to take photos in “wedding attire” before the wedding in the Chinese culture. I’ve only posted one of those since Nathan wasn’t particularly fond of them. He prefers the other photos – specifically the 1930′s Shanghai inspired photos. I LOVE those too! I’m really looking forward to their wedding in April at the World Market Center!

Kelly and John’s Winter Wedding at Red Rock Casino

Kelly and John were married in December of 2010. There were hints of the holidays all over their wedding with accents of gold throughout. It was a beautiful wedding filled with their children, plenty of friends, and family!

By the way, the 3 big differences the Crazy Corner has when compared to a traditional box photo booth:
1. Much better lighting (3-point or 4-point)
2. Much larger groups of people can be photographed at once
3. You get the digital negatives – color corrected, cropped, edited by the studio, on DVD!

Israel and Issac’s Engagement Session

Israel and Issac will be tying the knot in December at the lovely Paiute Golf Course. They met on a train they both took to and from work in Los Angeles and created the fun nickname of ”Train Buddy”. Yes, there will be a train somewhere at their wedding! The love these two share is incredible and strong. Issac will be deployed with the Army until December so I can’t wait to see these two let loose and have a blast on their wedding day!
