Our First Commitment Ceremony: Flamingo Las Vegas
Laurie and Renee are the sweetest couple and I was so thrilled when they decided to book with Green Orchid Events! I’m excited and honored to be able to plan this first commitment celebration and I’m hoping for many more! Our wedding day coordinator Angelica McDonnell was on site on the wedding day to coordinate their entire day!
The Nevada Domestic Partnership Act went into effect on October 1st just in time for their October 17th commitment celebration. Laurie and Renee were so excited to be able to apply for domestic partnership so this celebration was extra special.
Their color scheme was a combination of orange, burgundy, and deep reds. The entire outdoor terrace was lit up by twinkle lights on their existing trees along with par can uplighting with amber gels. Guests danced the night away to the sounds of the “CEO” of Fun Jodi Harris!
Burgundy satin napkins on gold and rust crinkle taffeta linen. Chairs were covered with gold lamour chair covers with burgundy satin sashes:

Kelly wanted to surprise her father by having an Elvis impersonator at their wedding. Her father is a HUGE fan and it was also his birthday. For most of the night, he was observing and enjoying his daughter’s wedding but when our Elvis arrived, he began to completely loosen up and it was so much fun to see!

Fall Wedding at Wynn Las Vegas & Maggiano Little Italy
Kelly and Nate were married back in October of 2009 at the Primrose Court in Wynn Las Vegas and celebrated with a dinner reception at Maggiano’s Little Italy.

They stayed at the Palazzo Las Vegas so Kelly and her bridesmaids decided to walk to the Wynn to get to her wedding!

Real Las Vegas Wedding: Sara and Kevin
Sara and Kevin knew what they wanted when they called me. They wanted something that was not a traditional wedding reception in the same location for six hour. They also decided to get married in Las Vegas without ever having been to Las Vegas!
We started their August wedding day at Planet Hollywood Resort and they were married in the wedding chapel. Following the ceremony, the party enjoyed a cocktail reception in their panorama suite with entertainment provided by an acoustic singer and guitarist. After that, we all boarded a party bus to Dos Caminos at Palazzo for a delicious dinner.  The party then went on all night going from some Las Vegas hot spots such as the Fremont Street Experience to the Las Vegas sign where we happened to run into an Elvis impersonator!

Los Angeles Couple Kristine and Aeden to wed in Las Vegas!
Kristine and Aeden will tie the knot this weekend in an intimate ceremony and we’re all looking forward to their great welcome cocktail reception and dinner!
Kristine was a referral from the wonderful Tracey Kumer-Moore of Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge who couldn’t take this wedding because of prior commitments. Thank you Tracey!
Anyway, Kristine is in the event industry herself as a Senior Event Manager for Marriott International in Los Angeles and wanted to hire a wedding day coordinator so she could just relax this weekend and not feel like she’s working! Kristine, I’ll make sure we take good care of you!

Shay and Jermaine’s wedding was full of fun details!
How cool are these escort cards?? Shay and Jermaine bought these old fashioned lollipops to act as their “escort cards”. Jermaine built the box, wrapped it with chocolate pintuck linen to match their decor, placed floral foam inside, gumballs on top, and we stuck the lollipops on top after placing the red stickers on them with their guests’ names and table numbers!
Their lucky guests were treated to both a candy buffet station AND a popcorn bar!

Real Las Vegas Wedding: Shay and Jermaine
Shay and Jermaine were married back in May of this year at the beautiful Cili at Bali Hai Golf Club. I worked with them for a little over a year and I’ve become quite close to Shay. They were so much fun to work with throughout the planning process! Shay and Jermaine booked with me after meeting me at a little bridal event I put together back in March of 2008.

The November Wedding of Heather and Jason and Bananas.
On Tuesday, November 18th, we had the pleasure and honor of coordinating Heather and Jason’s gorgeous wedding. The ceremony took place at the Venus Garden in Caesar’s Palace. LTeventions provided the lovely floral arrangements and red draping of the gazebo. Heather and Jason were attended by Heather’s sister, Jason’s brother, and “Bananas”, their ringbearer (their son, the stuffed monkey in a tux).
Following the ceremony, guests were transported by Earthbus to Red Rock Casino where guests enjoyed a dinner reception in one of the Veranda ballrooms and an afterparty at the VIP Bowling Lanes. The talented John Michael Cooper of Alt F captured stunning images of their entire wedding day and Ms. Dalisa Cooper made an appearance at the afterparty to capture some additional images too. A Beautiful Wedding at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas!
On Saturday, Green Orchid Events had the honor of coordinating a lovely wedding at the Venetian. Congratulations to Rosa & Steve!
Only a few traditional Chinese elements were incorporated into this Chinese wedding with a truffle & creme color scheme. On the doors in their suite, “double happiness” or shuang xi characters were taped on. A private Chinese tea ceremony immediately following the wedding ceremony was held in their suite in honor of the groom’s parents. I believe our bride also changed into her Chinese qipao at this time. Rosa also followed the tradition of changing several times throughout her wedding (white wedding dress, Chinese qipao, and pewter “going away” dress).
